Welcome. Welcome. These pages have been waiting for all of us a long time — more than fifteen years of beginnings and quiet erasures, as I hesitated, unsure whether this unusual dream could truly belong. Today the wish to live it has grown stronger than any fear.
For many years, while publishing magazines for home seamstresses in the Czech Republic — Marina Quilt (2010), later Pepitta and Pepitta Folk Art — I painted quietly, tucking my work into drawers and boxes, creating a few cherished commissions, and painting alongside my husband in his ceramic studio.
In 2017 the name WABEL was born: three letters from Bellet — my pen name for those magazines — joined with a simple a and the initial of my husband, Wítek.
And then, almost at once, came a pause — one that slowly stretched into years: our daughter's cancer, my husband's stroke, my own illness. Eight long years slipped by before life gently opened again, bringing the first WABEL CO. ART COLLECTIBLE and the first edition of our HERITAGE CERAMICS — both carrying, in a way most fitting, the Good Angel I had painted back in 2017 for WABEL's very first steps. He was born of gratitude, and quietly kept the hope of painting alive — a hope I now, at last, can live into.
And now, in the autumn of 2025, I finally set my feet on this path — with deep gratitude for life, and for you, who leave both small and lasting footprints in this story.
